Android Nougat release date: when you'll get it and everything you need to know

Android Nougat is Google's latest update of its phone and tablet operating system – an OS that's been so thoroughly refined that the company is now more than halfway through the alphabet with names, at letter 14 of 26.

The shocker is that Google didn't wait to announce Android Nougat at Google IO 2016. The reason behind this was to give developers several months to tinker with the update, according to the company. Hopefully that means app developers are much more prepared now Android 7 is rolling out.

OOU STRIKE UPDATE

    The ASUU Chairman and all the Lecturers advised all the students to stay in their various hostels in the school and go to school everyday because the on going strike can be suspended at anytime, if suspended this weekend, Exam starts on Monday 15th, with the commencement of all the activities that have been missed, he therefore advised all the student not to travel far away from the school as they would be on their own if any academic activity is done in the school.

OOU lecturers begin indefinite strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Olabisi Onabanjo University,  Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, has ordered its members to commence indefinite sit-at-home action, over the inability of the state government to fulfil its promises regarding a Memorandum of Understanding it signed with the union in December 2015.

The decision was announced by the union  at the end of its congress, held at the institution’s permanent campus in Ago-Iwoye on Monday.

It said the action became necessary following the inability of the university management to pay their July salaries, among other issues.

The union said the state government had abdicated its responsibility to the institution by failing to honour the 70:30 ratio contributions by government and OOU in salary payment.

The chairman of the union, OOU chapter, Dr Deji Agboola, said this while addressing journalists at the end of its congress on Monday.
